It all began with former pro athlete Drew Westervelt, Founder & COO of Hex Performance Laundry Detergent . He was on the hunt for a detergent like no other for active wear and when the boring old cleaning products led to the same poor results, He seized an opportunity. Today, HEX Performance® continues challenging tradition with a fierce competitive spirit and the tech to back it up.


How hex started from the field to the fabric.


Drew former professional lacrosse player knew how gunked up artificial turf could get and chose that there had to be a better way, so he created an effective eco-friendly way to clean up the field. During this journey, he realized that turf and performance fabrics are both made of synthetic fibers, meaning this science could also work wonders on activewear! Enter HEX.


Then a molecule was born


Drew and the HEX team went to work designing something that would then  clean all kinds of activewear and gear, not just cover odor in perfume or leave performance-damaging residue behind. Then one day the they got the right formula and the hex molecule was created,  designed with dirt and odor fighting particle that protects performance fabric’s strength, flex, and fit. But that’s not the end of the story. Today, the HEX team is still hard at work in our laundry lab, making sure they are designing the best, most effective laundry care products out there!

What I liked about Hex is the fact that it can be used on any fabric not just activewear, it's biodegradable, helps your clothing from losing that brand new feeling, plus it's gentle on skin because it doesn't contain any harsh chemicals or irritants.
