Mystic, Connecticut is a charming seaside community nestled between New York and Boston that is quite the vacation spot but also well known for the Famous movie Mystic Pizza and offers shops, restaurants and some of the best homemade ice cream I've ever tasted! 

Ever since I was a little girl my family and I would find ourselves in Mystic which is why I love it so much because it feels just like home to me.  It's a quaint little town that's filled with fresh local seafood, crave worthy pizza, a beautiful beach scenery, and homemade ice cream shops ! Mom and I stayed overnight at The Hampton Inn during our stay while in Mystic and we couldn't have felt more right at home. As soon as we walked through the door upon checkin we felt right at home it was comfortable, clean, and charming.

The Hampton Inn in Mystic, Connecticut is located just a short distance away from the shopping center in Olde Mystic Village next to the Aquarium and restaurants where you can grab dinner then a movie afterwards as it's located near the Mystic Luxury Cinemas Theater. Explore all that Mystic has to offer in the Seaport area where you can take in the beautiful scenery and rest your head on the most comfiest beds after a long day of eating and shopping of a quaint little town filled with some of the finest seafood, pizza and ice cream!

After mom and I checked into the hotel we got in the car and drove just a short distance to downtown Seaport in Mystic and were getting rather hungry looking when the most delicious aroma of Pizzetta's brick oven pizza greeted us through the air.

the heart of Downtown Mystic nearby the famous "Mystic Pizza" is Pizzetta Pizza that offers a family friendly environment and yes that includes four legged pups as well. Discover the taste of their thin crust rustic brick oven pizza with all sorts of toppings to choose from that are made from fresh from local ingredients along with delicate cuts of meat, herbs, spices and cheeses! Pizzetta offers Gluten and Dairy Free options as well which is great. If you are ever in the Mystic, Connecticut area and are craving pizza Pizzetta is the place to go for good food and live music!

When it comes to pizza there is no comparison to Pizzetta's maybe it's their woodfire grilled crust or the fact that their ingredients are fresh and locally sourced that provide both great texture and flavor to the pizza. I absolutely loved their crust it offered a slight smoky taste that was phenomenal that was thin and cooked to perfection. My mom and I split a small pizza on her half she had marinated chicken with onions and mozzarella cheese whereas I had olives, marinated chicken and onions on mine with goat cheese. The marinated chicken was tender and offered a slight smoky flavor that paired perfectly with the creaminess of the cheese and crisp of the crust!

Stop in for a sweet treat at Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream where they make delicious ice creams using the finest of ingredients in all sorts of flavors ranging from classic such as vanilla , chocolate to fruity and nutty with Jamaican Me Nutty to creamy coconut. Ever since I was a little girl when my family and I were in Mystic we would always stop at the Drawbridge for ice cream it was the perfect way to end the night with a sweet treat! So when in town that's what we did was stop at The Drawbridge and ordered mint chocolate chunk, with a scoop of oreo and coffee to satisfy our sweet tooth before heading to the shops and a movie at the theater located nearby.



On the morning of checkout we enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast which offered a wide variety of cereals, oatmeal, bagels, pastries ,hard boiled eggs, sausage, French toast, waffles, fruit plus juice coffee and tea!

Fresh fruit salad of pineapples, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, grapes, and mandarin slices! 

Do your own waffle bar offers whip cream, m&m candies, crushed oreo's and more to complete your morning waffle!

 We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn located in the Mystic, Connecticut area very much everything from friendly staff to the clean rooms, fresh towels, and comfortable beds that provided a good nights sleep made us feel right at home and will definitely be back to stay again when in town!
