Carrington Farms Coconut cooking oil review
Carrington Farms products are perfect for any lifestyle and offer numerous health benefits.
Carrington Farms offered a line of chia, flax seeds, cold pressed organic extra virgin coconut oil, and coconut cooking oils that are chock full of vitamins.
unrefined extra virgin coconut oil is a known oil from the meat of a young coconut and is a popular food source in the tropics.
Coconut oil is so versatile and can be used in many ways from cosmetics, for industrial purposes and cooking.
Did you know that coconut oil is slow to oxidize and has a high tolerance to heat?
Coconut oil has numerous health benefits as well which I will get into a bit further.
Coconut oil is made up of good healthy fats that contain compound molecules that are known as fatty acids which is solely based on the molecular length and size of the carbon footprint within each said fatty acid.
Monosaturated fats as well as Polyunsaturated fats are components of saturation, the length or the size is a key step.
Long chains of carbon atoms contain each fatty acid with a complete hydrogen atom.
The short chain fatty acids otherwise known as (SCFA) and medium chain fatty acids (MCFA) and the long chain fatty acids (LCFA)
Most oils, fats and processed foods are LCFA .
When it comes to coconut oil it consists of medium chain fatty acids (MCFA) which don't have a negative effect on cholesterol in fact both the gallbladder and liver do not need to digest and mix the MCFA then providing you with long lasting energy, increased circulation, heat production and metabolic rate.
Medium chain Triglycerides are then digested and absorbed leaving the body well nourished.
Coconut oil puts less of a strain on the digestive system where it's then converted to energy aiding in healing.
MCT's are used in oils in which you cook having very little reaction on the serum cholesterol levels in the body and doesn't add any trans fats to it's concoction.
MCFA'S consist of lauric acid Capric Triglycerides or fatty acids that are then hydrolyzed, absorbed then burned by the body for energy to last.
Coconut benefits and uses:
*add to smoothies
*use on lips for a more natural lip balm
*helps diaper rash
I came across Carrington Farms products online and since I enjoy whipping up all sorts of delicious meal I was then provided with their line of coconut cookingoils to try out for review.
I came home peeled and sliced them into coins then drizzled with garlic oil and gave a sprinkle of pink salt then popped them into the oven for 20-25 minutes they came out so crispy and delicious!
