Eva Ruth's Wheat & Gluten Free Specialty Bakery

It all began in the small town of Middletown, Rhode Island the during 2009 with a passion for baking not just any desserts but those that are free of both wheat and gluten by Ruth Flynn where she discovered just how hard it was in locating top notch gluten-free treats and made it into reality when she concocted her very own muffins, brownies, cakes and cookies.

Before Ruth started as a Gluten-Free chef she began as a New England cardiovascular
sales representative for GE medical systems, then later in 2010 Ruth called it quits and opened the doors to Eva Ruth's gluten and wheat free bakery offering an array of decadent cakes, pastries, cupcakes plus full sized breads both fresh and frozen !

How could I have lived in Rhode Island practically all my life and not have known about Eva Ruth's bakery in Middletown let alone that you could find her baked goods in the frozen foods section at select grocery stores across both Massachusetts and Rhode Island !?

Gluten and I are no longer bff's so Ruth herself provided me with some of her tasty wheat and gluten free products to try out and here is what I was sent!

Muffins-

Pumpkin:

Call me classic but I love pumpkin flavored anything it adds both
great texture and flavor to soups , smoothies, cakes, brownies and even muffins ! Biting into this moist yet savory  muffin reminded me that Fall is near with a touch of sweetness from cinnamon !

Banana chip:

the banana gave it just the right amount of sweetness making the muffin so moist and delicious with creamy morsels of chocolate chips!

Sour cream coffee cake:

The tanginess from the sour cream balanced out ever so perfectly with sweet cinnamon and coffee
crumbs making each bite more delicious !

Sourdough sandwich bread :

This bread offered a fluffy texture with great sourdough taste and made amazing sandwiches . Here we have a chicken club with lettuce, onion, bacon, crunchy cucumber and a thin layer of cheese it was the best sandwich I've had in a long time !

Home style stuffing mix :
This stuffing mix being the only gluten free mix I've tried was super delicious it offered the right amount of seasoning without it being dry.

Italian bread crumbs :
The Italian bread crumbs gave great flavor to the chicken coating it perfectly making it so tender and bursting with flavor ! These bread crumbs sure would be great on lasagna for sure !

Onion dill bread crumbs:
I haven't had the chance to try them yet but I will update as soon as I do !

Seeded Multigrain Crackers:

the seeded multigrain crackers provided both great texture and flavor the seeds gave a toasted like taste to them making them crispy being the perfect cracker for hummus, cheese, almond butter or even soup !
