Nutista Authentic Stone ground Nut butters !

It all began with Greg Koch when a nutty realization came to him on a whim while lending a hand to displace America's mass-market beer industry as Co-founder of the Pioneering Stone Brewery. When he went on a journey to brew a collaboration beer along with Northern Italy's popular Baladin Brewery, he taste tested the Piedmont region's hazelnuts and was blown away at how different they were to the rancid varieties of the nuts he has tried before.

It wasn't until a few years later in Brazil that Greg had another nut encounter while he was accompanied by friends to brew a collaboration beer at the Bodebrown Brewery which was insanely nutrageous !  "In America, Greg records that "numerous people think of the Brazil nuts as a bland tasting cheap filler in their bag of mixed nuts. Greg realized just how superior their quality and freshness really were with their natural sweetness and he couldn't resist them!

The declaration of the hazelnuts and Brazil nuts were just the ticket. Over the next few years Greg experienced variations of nuts between ones in bulk and ones sourced upon freshness along with their unique flavor profile.

The nutty experiences led Greg down a path of being an advocate for healthy eating and natural foods, where he started creating homemade nut butters in 2012. It took Greg a few years tinkering with different nut variations and recipes which concluded in a delicious yet nutty rise in another mass-market food niche.

Greg recognized what was attainable with nut butters and was mesmerized by his experience of sourcing , trial and error and just how magnificent nut butters could be, which is what began the journey toward foreseeing a business that he could deliver to the people. Not long after that Nutista was born!

Greg sees nut butter from the point of view being a craft brewer and artisan. Like in craft brewing the process of creating things yourself and coming up with new recipes that have never been thought of making them one of a kind.

Greg's Nutista motto is "Careful Sourcing, Creativity, and an artistic approach are essential". That is geared by a rigid adherence to quality and vigorous pursuit of phenomenal flavor.

Meet Tristen :
Tristen Cross had years of tech and biotech experience under her belt as a successful product-marketing ace, thought to herself "How can I better the universe with my day job"? opportunity. As an experienced practitioner of holistic and healthy living, Tristen's off-the-clock and expertise in the work field is what prepped her for Nutistadom. Health and wellness have always been an importance to her. For her Nutista is a way to bring together both her entrepreneurial interests and a personal goal, which she can live, work with passion and purpose.   Her shortfall of food-industry expertise is an advantage . "John Huber and her have no experience of knowledge of synthetic ingredients or methods used in industrial food", says Tristen. They just reach for premium, natural ingredients that taste outstanding and improve ones health, then let the stone grinder work it's slow and extraordinary magic.

Then they take those ingredients to make state-of-the-art and exciting flavors all with a culinary pizzazz that no one else even thought of before.

Over at Nutista they are big on transparency and want their consumers to know what exactly goes into their nut butters.

Besides promoting a healthier living Tristen spends quality time with her husband and two beautiful children where she ponders how sugar and hard-to-pronounce ingredients become a huge part of America's diet.

Meet John:

John jumped on board with Nutista through his 15 years of experience as a stock market analyst where he realized a certain mass-market product was health food. John used to think that peanut butter made in factories were healthy and since then he's come a long way not only for his health but what he's envisioned doing for a living. Which is also why he feels passionately about Nutista and what they are doing. John's 10 year journey for a healthier lifestyle made him avoid unhealthy ingredients, exercise daily, and lose 50 pounds!

John's goal now is to create the foods he dreamed he could have eaten in his less-fit days and to be able to help people do what he is trying to do which is live better, eat more simple and natural foods plus get healthier by eating clean and tasty foods of course.

John is driven to make nut butter more obtainable and wants to have a good time with it which he wants for consumers to do as well so slather it on breads, muffins, drizzle over ice cream, on fruit, go to town with it!

When John isn't creating nut butters on his stone grinder or proclaiming the power of Nutista he spends time playing basketball, hiking and loving life with his son and wife.

Nutista Nut Butters are made without any of the following

  • added sugars
  • oils
  • preservatives

I won Nutista nut butters from Kelsey Wolfe on Instagram and I couldn't wait to try them their flavors alone made my mouth water. I've heard about their nut butters before and they sounded so sweet, nutty, salty as well as delicious! I'm a sucker for nut butters I put them on pretty much everything from muffins, breads, smoothies, on fruit and so much more !

Here are the flavors that Nutista has to offer

Nutista Nut Butter Flavors

  • The Amber Ale One
  • The Monkey King
  • The Mountie
  • The Nut Job
  • The Pistachio One
  • The Steakhouse One
  • Tangerine Express IPA
  • The Stout One
  • Totalitarian Imperial Russian Stout
The flavors that I received were

The Monkey King: made with dry roasted peanuts, bananas , chia seeds, celtic sea salt and nuttin' else

Oh my Elvis would be pleased with this one right here. I loved the thick texture of the peanut butter it was intense from the chia seeds along with the sweetness of the banana that was almost caramel like with a speckle of sea salt that danced on your tongue. I made a chocolate raspberry smoothie bowl for breakfast and layered on a homemade black raspberry collagen muffin cut into chunks with a bit of granola and a smear of the Monkey King! Oh my it tasted like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich only in the form of creamy ice cream on a hot spring day!

The Mountie: made with raw cashews, sprouted almonds, dry roasted peanuts, maple granules, raw pecans, celtic sea salt and nuttin' else.

I enjoyed the unique blend of nuts in the mountie it was thick, nutty, smooth, creamy, sweet and oh so delicious especially paired with pancakes and bacon!

The Nut Job:

made with raw cashews, sprouted almonds, dry roasted peanuts, raw pecans, celtic sea salt and nuttin' else.

I liked the thick and creamy texture it was nutty, salty and outrageously nutty!

Each and every Nutista nut butter that I tried was uniquely nutty, bursting with flavor, creamy and oh so good! I loved how the chia seeds in the Monkey King provided a thick texture with sweet bananas, or how the Mountie resembled warm maple syrup drizzled on top of pancakes reminding me of Fall or the Nut Job with it's crunchy texture.

What I also loved was their texture was like no other nut butter that I've tried providing an intense nutty flavor from the roasted peanuts in each jar from the slow temperature process which helps to preserve essential nutrients, vitamins of the nuts as well as the ingredients not to mention how they are made without any preservatives, oils or added sugar.
