EXO Protein Paleo Bites

It all began with one colossal vault introducing the universe to the next awe-inspiring protein made from crickets, yes you heard me right crickets!

Did you know that crickets are a great source of protein? When turned into a powder form it's a game changer, toss in some apples and almonds and you've got one chirping good snack that provides you with energy that lasts!

Did you know that 80% of the people from around the world consume crickets on a daily basis?

Crickets are in high demand because they produce no methane and require minimal feed, water, and space unlike other protein sources, plus they provide us with nutrients and are super tasty.

With livestock farming the feed usage is the most-resource intensive part.

Crickets only require a small dose of the water than cows do resulting in the same amount of protein.

Crickets- 1 Gallon
Chicken- 567 Gallons
Pigs- 800 Gallons
Cows- 2,000 Gallons

Crickets produce only 1% of the greenhouse gases that cows produce.

Crickets aren't only high in protein but contain all of the essential amino acids plus they also are rich in iron 2 times more than spinach.

Cricket flour provides more than half the protein by volume.

Cricket Flour- 65%

Beef Jerky- 33%
Chicken- 23%

Crickets are a delicacy no matter how you eat them whether baked, fried or slathered.

The makers of EXO Protein starts off by flash freezing them, roasting and then milling into a fine powder resulting in a nutritiously nutty flavor.

I love me a good snack especially one that is packed with protein and ingredients that I can pronounce .

I came across EXOprotein through Amazon and their snacks piqued my interest since they are made from cricket flour which is something that I've never tried. What was interesting to me was their protein content among other brands. Sure eating crickets sound kind of weird but 80% of the world already consumes them and I figured I'm game for trying something new and couldn't wait to snack on them when I was provided with their protein Paleo Bites.

Maple Cashew: made with almonds, cashews, Domestic Cricket powder, (Acheta Domesticus), Pepitas (pumpkin seeds), maple syrup, flax seeds, prebiotic dietary fiber , organic dried coconut, non-GMO egg whites, organic coconut oil, honey, spices, vanilla extract and organic monk fruit extract.

The taste reminded me of French Toast cereal with it's sweet buttery maple flavor with a nutty crunch .

Nutty Chocolate Chip: made with almonds, cashews, Domestic Cricket , (Acheta Domesticus) , prebiotic dietary fiber, chocolate chips, cane sugar, natural chocolate liquor, (non -alcoholic ) non-dairy cocoa butter, sunflower seeds, cashew butter, (cashews, sunflower oil), non-GMO egg whites, honey and vanilla extract.

I made an acai frozen treat using 2 bananas, a frozen acai berry packet, 4 scoops of my chocolate protein powder, and a half cup of nutpods original and blended till smooth and creamy then scooped into a bowl and popped it into the freezer. This acai berry nice cream right here is the perfect summer time treat it's chocolaty , creamy, refreshing and oh so delicious! I topped it off with some EXO protein nutty chocolate chip and coconut chips ! I loved the crunch from the nuts and the smooth creaminess from the chocolate chips how they melted in my mouth!
Each EXOprotein bite that I tried was unique in their own way the way the maple cashew was sweet reminding me of Fall and the how the chocolate chips melted in my mouth!
